Professor H. El-Hofy received his BSc and MSc from Alexandria University (AU), Egypt and PhD from Aberdeen University. He published several research papers and wrote 4 international books. He was the head of the Department of Production Engineering and the vice dean at AU. Since 2012, he is the dean of the school Innovative Design Engineering at Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (E-JUST) in Alexandria.
